There are times when you may want to manually subscribe to the Event Calendar in Google. Here is how to do that.

The first thing you will need to do is find the Event Calendars subscription url. If you have this already, ignore the next step.

1) Finding the subscription url

Go to the Event Calendar and look for the button that says 'Subscribe to this calendar'. It should be at the bottom and look something like this:

If you are in the Google Chrome browser, right click this button and select Copy Link Address. In other browsers the wording may be slightly different. This should copy something like the following to your clipboard:

webcal://api.eventcalendarapp.com/ics/2?widgetUuid=undefined

If you have just copied the text 'Subscribe to this calendar', this is incorrect.

Please get in touch if you need any help with this part.

2) Subscribe to the calendar in Google Calendar

Go to your Google Calendar in your browser. Here's the link.

On the left hand side, next to where it says 'Add a coworker's calendar' click the plus icon. Then select 'From URL'.

You then need to paste in the URL from earlier and click 'Add Calendar'. This may take a few seconds.

That's it. You should now see your new subscription under 'Other calendars'.

At this point, I like to click on those three dots on the right of the URL, click settings, and give the calendar a meaningful name.
